Alicia and Dennis Chu recently entered the Piano Teachers' Society of America competition, where they received 1st place in their respective Solo Piano categories, and were chosen to perform in Carnegie Hall.
Alicia also went on to win First Prize in the Debussy portion, Age Group II Category, of the Great Composers Competition. She was also a silver medalist in her age category (10-13) in the prestigious Nelly Berman Young Classical Virtuosos of Tomorrow Competition, held in Philadelphia. Promoted by the NBC Classical Music Institute, this national competition drew students from across the nation to perform in concerts at Radnor Middle School, West Chester University, and the Kimmel Center in memorial to its founder, Nelly Berman.
